Rental Agreement & Terms
These Rental Terms apply to all rentals of mirrored plinths, freestanding mirrors, and other rental items provided by Lavish Leigh Creations.
By submitting a rental booking and/or agreeing to these terms, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following:
1. Rental Period
Standard rentals are for a 24-hour rental period, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Additional rental days may be available for $15 per item, per additional day, subject to availability.
The customer is responsible for ensuring all rental items are available for collection at the agreed-upon time.
2. Booking Retainer
A non-refundable booking retainer of 25%–50% of the rental total is required to secure the requested date.
The retainer is applied toward the total rental cost.
A rental date is not considered officially booked until the required retainer has been received.
3. Refundable Damage Deposit
A $200 refundable damage deposit is required for each rental booking.
The deposit is held as security against damage, loss, missing items, excessive cleaning, or other charges resulting from the customer’s care or use of the rental items.
The damage deposit will be returned within 24 hours after the rental items have been collected and inspected, provided the items are returned in acceptable condition.
If damage, loss, missing pieces, or other applicable charges are identified, the applicable amount may be deducted from the damage deposit.
4. Care of Rental Items
All rental items are provided in clean and good condition and must be handled with care.
Customers are responsible for the rental items from the time of delivery until they are collected by Lavish Leigh Creations.
Rental items must:
Remain in the agreed-upon location unless permission is provided.
Not be dragged, dropped, altered, modified, or disassembled.
Not be exposed to excessive moisture, rain, snow, or other damaging conditions.
Not be used in a manner that could cause damage.
Not be altered with paint, adhesive, nails, screws, tape, or other materials without prior approval.
5. Outdoor Use
Mirrored rental items are not recommended for outdoor use unless specifically approved by Lavish Leigh Creations in advance.
The customer is responsible for protecting rental items from weather, moisture, extreme temperatures, and other environmental conditions that could cause damage.
6. Damage, Loss & Replacement
The customer is financially responsible for any damage, loss, theft, or missing rental items occurring during the rental period.
This includes damage caused by the customer, guests, venue staff, event vendors, children, pets, or any other person accessing the rental items during the rental period.
If an item is damaged beyond repair or lost, the customer may be responsible for the full replacement cost of the item.
Repair costs may apply where an item can be professionally restored.
7. Delivery
All rentals are delivery only. Customer pickup and drop-off are not available.
Delivery charges are calculated based on the delivery location and are added to the rental total at checkout.
For larger orders, a $150 Large Order Fee automatically applies when renting 4 or more plinths. This fee is separate from the applicable delivery charge.
8. Delivery Access
The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information and ensuring that the delivery location is accessible.
The customer must notify Lavish Leigh Creations in advance of:
- Stairs
- Elevators
- Long walks from the delivery area
- Restricted building access
- Loading dock requirements
- Gated locations
- Difficult parking
- Any other conditions that may affect delivery
Additional charges may apply if special delivery circumstances require additional time, equipment, or labour.
9. Installation & Placement
Unless otherwise agreed upon, rental delivery includes delivery and placement of the rental items in the designated accessible area.
Lavish Leigh Creations does not provide event decorating, styling, balloon installation, floral installation, signage installation, or other event setup services unless specifically arranged in advance.
Customers are responsible for any decorations, signage, florals, cake displays, or other items they wish to place on or around the rental items.
10. Custom Vinyl & Decorations
Custom vinyl may be added to select plinths and freestanding mirrors for an additional fee.
Custom vinyl starts at $75, depending on the design and requirements.
Customers may not apply their own vinyl, adhesives, decals, tape, glue, nails, screws, or other materials to rental items without prior approval.
Any damage caused by unauthorized decorations or materials may result in a charge against the damage deposit.
11. Cancellation
If a rental booking is cancelled within 24 hours of booking, the booking retainer/deposit may be returned.
Cancellations made after 24 hours will result in the loss of the booking retainer, and the rental booking will be cancelled.
12. Date Changes & Rescheduling
Requests to change a rental date are subject to availability.
Lavish Leigh Creations will make reasonable efforts to accommodate date changes; however, a date change is not guaranteed.
If the requested new date is unavailable, the original cancellation terms will apply.
13. Late Returns / Extended Rentals
Rental items must remain available for collection at the agreed-upon time.
If additional rental time is required, the customer must contact Lavish Leigh Creations before the end of the original rental period.
Additional rental charges may apply.
Failure to make rental items available for collection may result in additional rental or service charges.
14. Customer Responsibility
The customer assumes responsibility for the rental items during the rental period, including responsibility for their guests, venue personnel, vendors, and anyone else who has access to the rental items.
Lavish Leigh Creations is not responsible for damage caused by improper use, unauthorized movement, weather, venue conditions, guests, vendors, or third parties.
15. Rental Agreement Acceptance
By completing a rental booking through the Lavish Leigh Creations website, the customer confirms that they:
- Have read and understood these Rental Terms.
- Agree to follow all rental requirements.
- Accept responsibility for the rental items during the rental period.
- Agree to the applicable rental, delivery, damage, cancellation, and replacement policies.
- Authorize Lavish Leigh Creations to apply applicable charges to the refundable damage deposit where permitted under these terms.
